Brad Olson – A Commitment to Community and Clients

A 1997 Southern Illinois University School of Law graduate, Brad Olson's journey into law was built on a foundation of justice and service. Before law school, Brad earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, equipping him with a broad perspective on individuals' legal challenges.

Beyond the courtroom, Brad is an active member of his community. Residing at the Lake of Egypt with his wife, Brad takes pride in Southern Illinois and has been involved in numerous local organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Tri-C Athletics, and the Knights of Columbus. He's also a passionate supporter of local youth athletics, having coached baseball for seven years and co-founding the Carterville Recreational Soccer Program in 2006.

Shivohn Thompson

Associate Attorney

Attorney Shivohn Thompson was born and raised in Minnesota and moved to Southern Illinois in 2021. Shivohn received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, Minnesota. Shivohn received her Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota. 


Shivohn is licensed in law practice in Illinois and the Southern District of Illinois- Federal Court. 


Before joining our firm, Shivohn was an Assistant State’s Attorney in Southern Illinois, prosecuting criminal and juvenile matters. 

Outside the office, Shivohn enjoys spending time with her family on their farm, on the lake, and traveling to new places. 



Shivohn is passionate about ensuring that no matter the situation you find yourself in, she is there to help guide you through life’s most challenging moments and choices. “This too shall pass.”

A family man at heart, Brad cherishes moments with his two grown children, one a teacher and SIU Carbondale graduate, and the other a current student at the University of Mississippi.
